‘Slinky Sleeps’ captures the childlike playfulness and dream state synonymous with Australian based lifestyle brand  SUKU.

I wanted to create a sculpture using off-cuts and old sample material from a fashion label and create new life. 

Unexpectedly, during the process I was sick with an extended period of COVID. A new challenge presented itself and that was to intuitively knit whilst living with post-viral fatigue. 

The final product is an abstract creature, knitted together during a time of adjustment and deep pain.
