A Royal Breeze,
Runway for Egg Lemon x GEO KNITS SLOW
Responding to the natural breathe of the winds passing through Royal Park, Naarm I constructed a breathing wave to frame a runway held by slow-fashion creatives Egg Lemon and Geo Knits Slow.
This work floated amongst the trees and mirrored the cycles of air. The moving sculpture is made out of various second hand silks, chiffon and lycra provided by local designer Maroske Peach. Held in place by pegs on rope suspended across two trees.
What I love about this piece is how fluid and ever changing it is. As the sun set, the colours and reflections on the materials changed. As the wind blew, different sections of the sculpture were lifted and billowed in new rhythms and angles.
